OUR STORY
Welcome to HER Zouk Society, a female-centered nonprofit born from the belief that dance is our language, but connection is our purpose. We intentionally look past the rigid execution of steps to reclaim the true social aspect of social dancing.
We exist to ensure that no female-identifying dancer ever has to navigate a congress alone. Our mission provides a safe harbor to make lifelong friends, find travel buddies, and step into a sisterhood that supports you both on and off the dance floor. Chynna Golding
HER Zouk Society was founded by Chynna Golding. After putting in the hours, training hard, and constantly refining her technique, she found herself completely unmotivated to actually attend local social dance events. She realized she was struggling to find community, and didn't have a close circle of friends to share the experience with.
That realization became the essence of everything we build here. She knew she couldn't be the only woman sitting in a workshop feeling isolated, wanting to have sisters to pregame with and talk about outfits. She founded HER Zouk Society to bridge that exact gap.

Eta Sigma Lambda (ΗΣΛ)
Character & Safe Haven — We anchor ourselves in a welcoming, protective community for female-identifying dancers.

The Heritage of Movement — We honor the rich cultural history, roots, and generational lineage of Lambada, ensuring its essence is preserved and celebrated through our sisterhood.
